The Poitou Donkey is truly unique, as shown just by looking at it's natural dread locks. An endangered species from France (only four hundred left in the world today!), only after many years and meetings we were finally able to require this fine specimen.
Although we don't suggest riding the Poitou Donkey as you would for a normal donkey, as the hair would get in the way and prevent a good anchor for saddles or foot rests. Be warned of the extreme size of the donkey, and we highly suggest to have the Poitou Donkey shorn for purposes of hygiene and to avoid any unwanted ticks, or bugs.
